Compiling methods defined at runtime in allegro 4.0

What is the official way to compile methods created at runtime in CLOS
in the current allegro?  

In the past, I've had to use inelegant PCL kludges and hope to find 
a reasonably stable way (perhaps COMPILE-METHOD).
