EMACS trademarked?!?

I don't know how I missed this, but since the August issue of BYTE,
UNIPRESS is claiming a trademark on EMACS in their ads.  I say
"claiming" because the first requirement to be able to register a
trademark is to have claimed the trademark associated with a product
or service for at least a year.  If such a claimed trademark goes
unchallenged, I suspect we may be forced to give up using the name
EMACS, as absurd as it sounds...
