Yeah, what is the emacs bug that is being "reported" here?
As far as what Gumby said, that's not the case. VTS says
AAA's have TC$FID, which is a hack for TC%LID and TC%CID.
One problem might be that VTS assumes that an AAA is 48. by 80.,
and lots of things will be silly if this isn't the case.
(This can be fixed with the AAA program.) The only time VTS
gets in the way of Emacs, however, is when SUPDUPing. Otherwise,
all Emacs asks VTS about is the type and size, and Emacs has
its own idea of the terminal's capabilities, padding requirements,
and fish consumption.
