1) (format () <ctl> ...) fails to return the answer as a cons'ed up string (symbol in maclisp) 2) floating point "~f" doesn't work 3) many placees call (PRING ARG STANDARD-OUTPUT) rather than uusing INVOKE-STREAM I've attempted to fix these.
