Complaint about (SSTATUS TERPRI ...)

In the entry of .INFO.;LISP NEWS, dated MARCH 03,1977  there is a
comment about use of TERPRI, reproduced below.  The compiler is putting 
out error messages merely to try to badger you into "shaping up", before 
the horrible day when it **really** disappears.  Why not next week?

	[3F] WE ARE PHASING OUT (STATUS TERPRI).  PLEASE ELIMINATE
	     FROM YOUR PROGRAMS IF POSSIBLE.  IN NEWIO YOU CAN SET
	     THE LINEL OF A FILE TO 0 INSTEAD, OR YOU CAN BIND
	     THE TERPRI VARIABLE.
