One more thing:
(4) I guess if this change were to go through, there should be some
way to specify "continuation" for very long atoms so that one could
type "continuation"<cr><more junk> and have the <cr> ignored, so
that one would not be forced to run near or over linel in order to
input a very long atom. This is almost necessary when using devices
for later printout which have losing or blurred columns, etc.
