I'VE FOUND IT! AND CORRECTED IT!, Yes, the random
bug in what has turned out to be the bignum division code
was what caused your test program on CF2 to get a spurious
GC-OVERFLOW interrupt - it seems that indeed in one place
a random register was left pointing to a random cell, which
later got turned into the free-storeage list. DOes anyone
else think that they may have had a manifestation of this
bug? By the bye, I ran the test from CF2 for 30 minutes of
CPU time, and there was no GC-OVERFLOW, so I'm sure that's it.
