The file ML:RIVEST:PRCBUG >
evokes some sort of compiler error (*** ERRORS IN COMPLR -TOPLE ***)
What does this mean?
. . .
I think the problem was that my directory was full.
A clearer error message from the compiler would be nice...
As KMP pointed out, this is almost always due to a directy full error,
or device full error; some work would have to go into LISP itself to
be able to separate out these errors, and toss them back to monitor
level, which is really what one would like to happen. Just to make
life a little simpler, I've modified the error msg to include the
file position of the input file and of the (output) fasl file, and to
hint that the problem is some kind of I/O error. This change will be
evident in XCOMPLR/COMPLR 1118.
