(mergef (defaultf 'upoly) '((dsk drb) * fasl)) returns ((dsk drb) upoly @),
not ((dsk drb) upoly fasl) or ((dsk drb) upoly *), i.e. now passing it to
LOAD loses.  I thought this was the function of DEFAULTF?
