Is there any news since say four months ago on
improving the DEC-10 version of MACLISP
so that it can use the full core image on
TOPS-20 and TENEX.
As a separate matter, do you know of any plans
to rewrite MACLISP to take advantage of the new
DEC extended hardware for 10's that permits
addresses greater than 18 bits?

Regarding the TOPS-20 version, perhaps HIC@MIT-MC (Howard Cannon,
to whom I am forwarding this note) can answer better than I.
As far as use of PDP-10 extended addressing, we hhave no plans at
all at present to exploit that. We are currently undertaking
a "new implementation of LISP" to be brought up on very-large-address
machines, such as the DEC VAX/11 and the Stanford S-1. I suppose it
might be possible to bring up a version of this eventually on
an extended-address PDP-10, but we have given it no thought, as far
as I know.
