isn't that (1+ ,totsize) supposed to just be totsize now that the random
extra slot isn't there any more?
Yes it is, and I've just changed it in the source. Also did a trick with
#% so that the SI:MAKE-EXTEND will turn into MAKHUNK at time of
compiling DEFVSX (in the MacLISP world, that is).
