I notice that some of the misunderstandings could have
been avoided by using XLISP, which has LDB and *LDB implemented
as subrs. I thought I had fully satisfied this complaint
before, namely installing the missing autoload properties
which insure that the file with the defsetf for *LDB gets
loaded.
