As far as I can tell my LEDIT works on TOPS-20. It works on MIT-XX,
although I cant tell how it behaves on a display terminal. The identical
FASL files and :EJ files should work on TENEX and TOPS-20 (if your respecitve
versions of EMACS and LISP are compatible).
To run it on MIT-XX.
[1] Set up your EMACS init to always load the standard LEDIT.
e.g. like <HIC.DEKLEER>EMACS.INIT
[2] Load <HIC.DEKLEER>LEDIT.FASL
[3] Load <HIC.DEKLEER>TENEX.FASL
The first time you return it will ask for LISP job name, type anything, CR.
[4] Optional. Edit the <EMACS>LEDIT file to flush this spurious msg.
You should now be winning!?
The sources and auxilliary files are on
[MAXC2]<MACLISP>LEDIT.LSP/FASL
[MAXC2]<MACLISP>TENEX.LSP/FASL
[MAXC2]<MACLISP>LINIT.LSP/FASL
[MAXC2]<MACLISP>STRUC.LSP/FASL
[MAXC2]<EMACS>LEDIT.E/:EJ

P.S. The only problem I seem to have is that on some occasions the first
character typed to EMACS gets garbled. But I cant really tell what is going
since EMACS is so brain-damaged when it is talking to non-display terminal.
