- To: (BUG LISP) at MIT-ML -- let (ARRAY X T n) set the value of X to the same as its ARRAY property. -- this extension makes all old code work OK (as long as a symbol is not using BOTH its array and value properties, an unlikely occurence due to the confusion it engenders. -- Now, whenever a form (X a1 a2 ...) is evaluated, another special case can be added to check to see if the VALUE of X is an array-object. -- This allows arrays to be treated as full-fledged citizens, just as hunks and lists are.
