Sorry to belabor this issue, but for the record some MACSYMA save files
contain exactly such symbols. That's how quoted-strings are implemented
in MACSYMA. That's one of the reasons I've been raising a ruckus about
this issue and requesting some sort of transitional period. To cut down
on lossage.
So if I understand you, there still is no problem, since these "symbols"
are pseudo-strings used for commentary, and won't be affected by an
ocasion insertion of a CR.
