Yes, despite the silly date chosen (we thought it was somehow appropriate),
I am quite serious about changing Lisp's base. If anyone has a reasonable
objection, let him voice it now but I have advocated for a long time that
Base-10 is what the world runs on and people sophisticated enuf to know
what base-8 is also know enuf to make init files and set defaults explicitly.
