To BUG-LISP: You were spared most of the big argument that resulted. This
is the tail end....
Well, I think that common macro and library bases is what LIBLSP is all about.
I think IOTA is a real winner -- and other macros I have are pretty neat and
general too -- but I can understand why people don't want them in the language
for now. There are subtle differences of opinion and until a full concensus is
reached, they shouldn't be given that sort of preference. LIBLSP is an integral
part of the Lisp community -- and that people should make an effort there too
at standardization; but I distinguish it from the language proper. Well, I
guess that pretty much says it. As to LOOP, we'll have to wait and see what
others feel on the issue.
