In system 46.1, with microcode 692, on LISP Machine Eight:
When you send mail to someone at MC, it still tries to send via AI and
gives a error if AI is down. Isn't it about time this was fixed? Also,
it would be nicer if when the mailer was going to give up trying to send
via various hosts, it would give you some message like "Can't connect to
any remote host to send mail" and leave you back at top level, rather
than in the error handler looking at STANDARD-ALLOCATE. I realize
some of the problems here, but I find the lack of such a user interface
to be highly unesthetic.
