CC: (BUG LISPM) at MIT-MC, (BUG LMMAN) at MIT-MC Yes, the list sort is unstable, and the documentation is incorrect. SI:SORT-SHORT-LIST is stable. When we get around to it the plan is to make a new function STABLE-SORT which will be stable on all arguments but possibly slower.
