cc: BUG-LISPM at MIT-AI If you set the variable SI:DISK-SHOULD-READ-COMPARE to T on both machines, then the transfer stands a better chance of working. We don't yet understand why, but empirically I have never seen a transfer fail in this mode. Please let me know if it does.
