ECC's experience suggets that, just as incandescent bulbs are
stressed especially much when they are turned on,
CPT monitors receive a high stress from the click that
accompanies booting. Eliminating the click might be the most
important way to extend the life of the CPT. Even if it
requires some hardware modification, it might be worth while.
Is the click entirely the result of reloading the sync roms?
