I was aware that it is rather fruitless to make FORMAT
be too powerful -- after all, one can always use LISP!
But then again, creeping featurism... Anyway, I'd like
to point out that I haven't implemented anything which
wasn't either a bug fix or a feature I want to use now
for some purpose (i.e. in the next week).  I carefully
resisted putting anything in just because of elegance.
(In particular, I avoided putting in Q-registers, much
as I was tempted to, to solve a tab problem!)  -- Quux
