In system 25.0, with microcode 612, on LISP Machine Five:
There seems to be a problem with esc-q. As far as I can make it out, it is as follows.
If you warm boot before the xgp process finishes, it is put in a FLUSHED state but not
removed from active-processes. This means that not only does one not get the output but
also the process hangs around stealing enough time to substantially degrade performance.
Maybe this would be fixed by the NWS or maybe it can be fixed directly or maybe the background
hardcopy function is too fragile to put on esc-q.
