In System 78.18, ZMail 38.2, microcode 843, on Lisp Machine Seven:

In zwei, with the minibuffer exposed (getting the name of a file
to find). If a fileserver (MC) sends a filserver going down
message you get a minibuffer pop-up-notification window (type
any character to get rif of this notification etc.). When you
type a character to get rid of the notification, the
notification goes away, but the main buffer ends up being
selected instead of the minibuffer.
