The file NZWEI;DEFS is not compiled (it's loaded interpreted) but it contains DEFFLAVOR's of flavors with :GETTABLE-INSTANCE-VARIABLES. The automatic methods for those instance variables are consequently getting compiled at load time. Probably it would be better all around to compile this file.
