In ZWEI in System 98.43, CADR 3.6, ZMail 53.14, MIT-Specific 22.0,
microcode 309, ZM MIT, on Lisp Machine Eighteen:
String Search, though its documentation still mentions the
various control characters, ignores them. E.g. you type C-D to
pop the search ring, but all it does is insert a D into the
search string. Similarly typing C-B inserts a B instead of making
the search a BJ search.
