This is not meant to go outside of this committee, although it will be
the source for a status report. My belief is that, while we may want to
mail out proposals ahead of time, there is no need to mail out the
status report early, we might have more to report by the meeting anyway.

**** NOTE ***** I intend to mail the  proposals marked with a * (Ready
for release?) to mail to X3J13 by Wednesday of next week unless I hear
some objection.  (I think I'm a little upset that Kent is got so mad at
me.)  

If there is one issue we should debate about between now and the
meeting, I think it is FUNCTION-TYPE. We seem to have some agreement on
the core issue, and some disagreement on exactly how to proceed over the
issue of making FUNCALL (and MAPC) not take symbols.  I think this is
one where we should bring the debate to the whole X3J13 once the issues
are laid out.

Normally, before I send one of these out I double check all of the
entries against all of the mail files to make sure that I've left
something out. However, I'm tired and its late, and I've only checked
them out to GET-SETF-METHOD-ENVIRONMENT.
