Kent, "In general, the token is interpreted as a number if it satisfies
the syntax for numbers specified in Table 22-2." There is no : anywhere
in table 22-2. I thus don't see how that can possibly be taken as
including :1.
In addition, there is no way to read the description on p 341 to include
any tokens with : as potential numbers.
