Missing Fonts in CLIM

Whenever I start a CLIM application the debugger returns with the
message

Error: The FONTS:<fontname> could not be found for the device 1-bit
STATIC-GRAY X Screen INTERNET|<internet-number> with 0 Genera fonts
(MIT X Consortium R4)

in the function SI:GET-FONT

However, the "Show Font" command for the same font works correctly.
The thing happens on a SPARCstation with a Symbolics board under
Genera 8.1 and CLIM 1.1.

My question: Is there a way to make the fonts available for CLIM, a
special format, or a special directory where these fonts must be
located ?
