still tracking-pointer

Yes, I'm still using CLIM 1.0, MCL 2.0, both beta. And yes, I'm still
    working with tracking-pointer.

When I press one of the modifier keys, the :presentation and
:presentation-button-press clauses are never run. I would like to do
different things according to the shift mask in the event object, but
I don't get any events, so what am I to do?

As I said in my previous message, TRACKING-POINTER has had some bugs
fixed in it, and this stuff works in CLIM 1.1. So, the best thing
you can do is to find out what you can do to support ILA in producing
CLIM 1.1 for MCL.

Isn't CLIM big and ugly and full of bugs? I like it, though...;-)

At least 150 bugs were fixed in CLIM 1.0 to produce CLIM 1.1. Given
the size of the product and the fact that it is a first release, that
number is actually quite respectable (only about 1 bug for every 350
lines of code). Unfortunately, I think that says more about the poor
state of software in general than about the "good" quality of CLIM.
