Clim 1.1 and Genera 8.1.1

In a clim interactor, when I hit return without
entering anything, I get the message:

"Attempting to complete the null string
 Please edit your input"

Shouldn't the prompt simply be reprinted?  It seems bizarre not to be
allowed to type several returns.
