	Along a similar topic... The other reasonably common thing to
want to do to displayed images is to alter their associated colormap
to adjust image contrast or something more application specific. It
would be nice if there was some level of CLIM's layered protocal which
would allow you to do this type of thing without having to bypass CLIM 
completely and interact directly with the native window system.
