Subject: iteration bug
--text follows this line--
I've been having a hard time trying to compile the file iterate.lisp on a
Symbolics under Genera 7.1. This has happened exactly the same way when
trying to compile both the 7/7/88 release, and the 8/2/release.
Here's the error I get:
For function OPTIMIZE-ITERATE-FORM
While compiling (SETQ V (PROG1 (CAR #:G9593) (SETQ #:G9593 (CDR #:G9593))))
The ignored variable V was referenced.
Error: The second argument (VALUE) to SYS:SIGNED-IMMEDIATE-OPERAND, 231,
was of the wrong type. The function expected a small signed operand.
SYS:SIGNED-IMMEDIATE-OPERAND:
ARG0: (COMPILER:OPCODE): 67
ARG1: (COMPILER:VALUE): 231
Please let me know what's going on as soon as possible, as I believe this
is the only problem keeping us from getting post-St. Patrick's day versions
up and running.
Thanks,
