Can't compile PCL on Sun-4 with Lucid 2.1.3

Compiling Victoria Day PCL on a Sun-3 with Lucid 2.1.3 went allright,
now I tried it on a Sparcstation1. The circumstances are quite similar, i.e.
I took the same PCL source and the release level of Sun Lucid
Lisp on the Sparcstation1 is also 2.1.3.

The compilation stopped after quite a while with the following message:

The PCL source contains the patch for the eql bug.

Has anyone else encountered or even solved this problem?
Any hints appreciated.
