efficiency of large systems in franz

Does any one out there have experience with a "large" (actually any size
will do) system written in franz? I am mainly interested in the efficiency
question. Did you find that it was too slow? or was the response time
adequate? I need this information to help argue for using franz to
implement a CAD system at UCLA. Any pointers will be appreciated.
