expansion has created opportunities for the following experienced
professionals:


Member of Technical Staff

You will assist with maintenance and enhancement of MACSYMA, a large
Computer Algebra System written in LISP and used by engineers and
scientists for performing symbolic computations.  Immediate projects
could include design and implementation of tools for conversion to
Common LISP, improving modularity, modernizing the user interface,
improving performance, and design and implementation of new mathematical
packages based on the latest available algorithms.  Work will be
performed on all versions of MACSYMA using Symbolics 3600 Family Lisp
Machines.  A strong background in mathematics and Lisp programming is
preferred.  Experience with MACSYMA is desirable.


Technical Sales Support Engineer

You will provide technical support to our internal sales staff, to
customers and to prospective customers.  Responsibilities include
assistance at demonstration sites, installations on several kinds of
machines, and a full range of customer support activities.  This could
include design, development and delivery of a trainging course for
MACSYMA users.  Qualified applicants will have experience with a
high-level language, preferably MACSYMA.  Good written and verbal
communication skills and prior software project involvement are desired.
B.S. degree or equivalent and 2 years experience preferred.
