Boomerang 2.0 incompatible w/MACL 1.3.1?

Boomerang 2.0 appears to be incompatible with MACL 1.3.1. With it enabled,
choose-file-dialog comes up with a blank dialog box -- the buttons are there,
you just can't see them until you click on them. Looks like the initial update
event is getting lost. Comments?
