Want to open non-selected w

Subject:   Want to open non-selected windows
I'm trying to open a window as instructed in the manual but I would like it NOT
to be selected.  I don't like typing something in the listener that causes a
window to open and then having to click the mouse in the listener before I can
type something else.

Did I miss something in the manual?
