We recently reconfigured the network here; the host "cambridge.apple.com" is
now a Mac IIx running A/UX 2.0.
For reasons that are not well understood (by me, at least) "ls" and "dir"
commands from anonymous FTP connections behave as indicated in your message.
File transfers seem to work, so you can get stuff if you happen to know
what it's called & where it is.
We're working on the problem; unfortunately, the network reconfiguration has
had other disruptive effects here and those other problems have taken priority.
We'll send a message on info-macl as soon as we have this fixed.
The current contents of ~ftp/pub/MACL/CONTRIB are:
-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp bin 4000 Aug 1 07:33 background-sleep.lisp
-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp bin 5548 Aug 1 07:33 compare-windows.lisp

-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp bin 3700 Aug 1 07:33 template.lisp

-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp bin 6989 Aug 4 13:01 text-edit.sit.hqx
Sorry for the inconvenience; if anyone has experience with anonymous FTP
under A/UX 2.0, I'd be interested in hearing their suggestions.
