*** CALL FOR PAPERS - DEADLINE OCTOBER 31ST ***
The Second European Conference on the Practical Application of Lisp
Churchill College, Cambridge UK
March 24 - 27, 1991
The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for technical exchange between
all members of the world-wide Lisp community: academics; industrialists; and
Lisp system vendors. It is expected that the Conference will follow a similar
format to Europal '90 with plenary and panel sessions, tutorials, and workshops
. . . and focusing on applications developed in Lisp that are destined for
everyday use. The conference will have two main tracks. The first will
contain practical, preferably commercial/industrial, applications written in
Lisp and the second will include tools and techniques which aid Lisp program
construction.
Topics will include:
o CAD & Manufacturing
o Data Processing
o Financial Analysis
o Knowledge-based Systems
o Planning & Scheduling
o Computer-Based Training
o Graphics & Animation
o Automated Documentation
o Object-Oriented Systems
o Software Enginereering
o Parallel Systems
o Portability
o Environments & Toolkits
o User Interface Design Tools
o Applications Delivery
o Embedded Lisp
We invite submissions in all these areas concerned with the use of Lisp, but
the emphasis must reflect the "practical" theme of the Conference. For your
initial submission, which will be referred, papers should not exceed 6000 words
in length and should include a cover page with the title of the paper, a brief
abstract, keywords and the name, affiliation and address of the author(s).
Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are also helpful in administering the
selection process. Five copies of the paper should be sent to John Domingue at
the address given below to arrive by 31st October 1990 at the latest.
