Help with Fred-Window problem

Hello.

I have a need to explicitly close a Fred-Window after writing to it.
However, I do not want to save the contents of this window. I use it
primarily for posting some process messages to the user. 

I used the buffer-close function to do this, but it pops up a dialogue
box to ask the user if the window needs to be saved. How can I
circumvent this?
