System 7.0 has 32-bit (color) Quickdraw built in.  6.0.5 doesn't, although the 
newer Macs (fx, si, etc.) have it in ROM.  Are you certain you have color 
Quickdraw available?  Perhaps you could send complete details of the hardware 
and software configuration that doesn't work.
