I agree that CLIM is the Class Library (etc.) of choice for MCL developers
wishing to produce portable applications. I do *not* believe that there is any
point whatsoever in OODL SIG members trying to out-do it; maybe (although I
very much doubt it) Bedrock will prove suitably accessible from MCL, or maybe
someone with nothing better to do will emulate Bedrock in MCL. However, I
stand by my original proposal that an MCL application framework should be Mac
specific, and should make the very best of Mac System resources possible -
including those which are not available on other platforms.
If you want to go cross-platform, use CLIM.
If you want to go Mac only, then I believe that our application framework is
the right way to go.
