Luke,
  Thanks for the example code.  I wonder why the palette uses
sequence-dilog-its
instead of the more useful table-dialog-item class?  It seems that although
there is more efficient storage in this class, there is very little underlying
support to figure out what was selected from a simple list (which I assumed
was the purpose of specializing it).
