I have a few more comments.
It may not be too closely related, but another system
for real-time process control in MCL is available on the CD-ROM
and by ftp, called "hyperlisp". It was written at the MIT
Media Lab to control MIDI synthesizers during live music
performances, and has many interesting control structures
for time-sensitive lisp execution. check it out!
