Unlimited Undos

The reference manual seems to be implying on page 495
that by default MCL supports unlimited undos unless
specified otherwise by *fred-history-length*.
This is exactly what I want, unlimited undos.
Unfortunately, *fred-history-length* starts with a value
of 20 and I would like a cleaner way of specifying unlimited
undos than setting *fred-history-length* to a huge value.
Any advise?
Thanks.
