I wonder if this is enough when the application may be on a different volume,
or when either file is on a floppy (a different scheme is used on floppies).
Another solution is to let the Finder do the job, by sending it a FinderOpen
Apple Event. Finder Apple Events are rather obscure, but there is sample code
available.
