Slow Compiler, but Slow Loading too !!!

Aladin Akyurek asked about the slowness of MCL 2.0 final in file
compilation. I don't know the answer but I add a new question:

Why MCL 2.0 final is so much slower in loading .fasl files than the beta
versions ? I have to use it relatively often and I am quite frustrated.
Another slowing down I noticed is when I print or format into a window
stream. This was quite slow already in beta versions ?

In general MCL 2.0 final is fine.
