Anyone hooked up MCL to MacTCP or better yet HTTP?

I'm thinking of experiment by making myself a little World Wide Web
client (so I can look at 

http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/samantha/travels-with-samantha.html

and hack Lisp at the same time :-)) in MCL.  However, I'm scared of
the interface to MacTCP and HTTP.  Does anyone have some code that
will just go out and grap a URL from MCL?
