scrolling

I think I am experiencing a problem with the scrolling control panel and
MCL.  When scrolling in a FRED window, the right scroll bar will turn black
or white, and then assume a wierd shade of gray.  Shortly thereafter, the
colors of the desktop get somewhat garbled, and then the system hangs. 
badly.

Anyone else have a problem with scrolling and MCL?
